Resume Builder
Create, tailor, polish, and export application-ready resumes with templates and AI, then turn a confirmed version into Interview Materials.
Resume Center
Resume Center is an AI resume builder and job-preparation workspace. Start from a blank canvas or template, import an existing resume, then edit content, adjust the layout, run AI improvements, and prepare an application-ready version online.
It is more than a place to store resumes: make the resume complete, clear, and relevant to the target role first. Then turn the confirmed version into Interview Materials so the same preparation can support the interview.
Core capabilities
- Online editing and live preview: Edit contact details, experience, projects, education, skills, and custom sections while seeing the final layout update.
- Templates and layout controls: Start with a professional template, then adjust colors, section order, visibility, and spacing for the target role.
- AI resume diagnosis: Check completeness, writing quality, and job fit, then receive concrete improvements you can act on.
- AI polishing and expansion: Improve the whole resume or one field at a time; make responsibilities clearer and outcomes more specific.
- JD tailoring: Paste a target Job Description (JD). AI extracts the role priorities and creates a reviewable draft grounded in your real experience.
- Grammar and English version: Check spelling and grammar, or translate the full resume into English for another application version.
- Multiple application versions: Keep a complete master resume and save role-specific versions without overwriting one another.
- Import, export, and sync: Import common resume files or JSON, export a PDF, and optionally sync updates to your account.
Recommended workflow
- Create or import: Choose a blank resume, a template, or an existing resume file.
- Complete the facts first: Add contact details, experience, projects, education, and skills. Prefer verifiable outcomes, numbers, and responsibilities.
- Set the layout: Choose a template for the target role, reorder sections, and check the live preview.
- Paste the JD: Open JD Tailor in the editor and paste the target job description so AI can identify the role priorities.
- Review every AI suggestion: Use diagnosis, polishing, expansion, grammar check, or translation. Confirm facts, numbers, and tone before saving.
- Save an application version: Save the tailored result as a new version and keep an un-tailored master resume.
- Prepare Interview Materials: Generate Candidate Material from the resume, then add project details, examples, and facts you want to explain.
- Link an Interview Plan: Attach the candidate material, role material, and supporting knowledge needed for the round. Desktop loads them when you select the plan.
The most important rule
AI improves wording and job fit; you confirm the facts. Names, dates, numbers, and project outcomes must remain true. Do not keep content you cannot verify.
Online editor and templates
The editor includes basic information, work experience, projects, education, skills, and custom sections. Use the outline to jump between sections and the live preview to check the complete document. Templates, colors, section order, and visibility can all be adjusted in the editor.
Choose the layout first, then complete the content. Fine-tune spacing and colors after the facts are stable to avoid unnecessary rework.
How to use the AI tools
| Tool | When to use it | What to do with the result |
|---|---|---|
| AI diagnosis | You want to know what hurts completeness or job fit | Return to the suggested section and make the change |
| JD Tailor | You are preparing a version for one target role | Check that priorities came from the JD, then save a new version |
| Full polish | The structure is sound but the writing is inconsistent | Compare before and after; keep wording that matches your voice |
| Field polish / expansion | One experience entry is too short or reads like a task list | Add actions, methods, and outcomes without inventing facts |
| Grammar check | You are doing a final spelling and grammar pass | Review each item, including technical terms and proper nouns |
| English translation | You need an English application version | Check role titles, technical terms, and proper nouns |
AI actions produce a draft or diff for review; they do not silently overwrite the original resume. Confirmed JD, polish, or translation results can be saved as independent versions for comparison and rollback.
Turn a resume into Interview Materials
Resumes are optimized for applications; Interview Materials are optimized for fast, grounded answers. From a resume card, choose Prepare interview material. The full resume becomes the starting point for Candidate Material without changing the original resume.
After opening Interview Materials, add:
- projects, responsibilities, and measurable outcomes you know best;
- technical decisions, challenges, and retrospectives you can explain;
- experiences to emphasize and facts that AI must never guess.
Save and finish processing before using the material in an interview. Voice and text Ask can reference confirmed materials; Screenshot Ask remains based on the current image and does not automatically inject the full resume.
Link an Interview Plan to reduce setup
Before the interview, link these items in the plan:
- the Candidate Material prepared from this resume;
- the target company and role material or JD;
- supporting knowledge needed for this round;
- schedule, platform, language, and round details.
When you select the plan in Desktop, it loads the confirmed candidate, role, and supporting materials, reducing last-minute searching and setup. Model and answer preferences remain Desktop settings and are not overridden by the plan.
Save, sync, and export
- Local save: With cloud sync off, resumes stay on this device and remain available for editing and export.
- Cloud sync: With sync on, new resume updates are saved to your account so you can continue on another device.
- Application export: Export a PDF after review. Open the export preview and check page breaks, contact details, and key experience entries before sending.
Common questions
The imported layout looks different
Fonts, tables, and complex layouts may not convert exactly. Re-check names, dates, companies, roles, project outcomes, and contact details, then use a template to clean up the layout.
I cannot see the AI tools
AI features depend on account plan and available quota. Confirm that you are signed in and refresh entitlements; generated content still needs human review before saving.
I cannot find the resume I just edited
Confirm that you are on the same device and account, then check cloud-sync status. To use it in an interview, you must also prepare Interview Materials and link them to a plan; saving a resume alone does not activate it for answers.
